The family. We were a strange little band of
characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one
another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of
our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving,
laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us
all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Spring riding in Moab

We headed down to Moab in March to help fight off the "winter blues" for good. The sunshine on the red rocks was good medicine for all of us. We really enjoyed spending time with our new Moab "gang" - the Larsen's, the Olsen's, and the Rass Pack.
We had one day of bad weather, but the rest of the time was absolutely beautiful! We went on several great rides, but one that Danielle will never forget will be the trip to "the mine". The road took us on narrow switchbacks down to the bottom of a canyon, which is all fine and dandy until you look over the side of the road and there is a sheer drop of at least 10 million feet! Her stomach was in her throat and she kept thinking, "just ONE wrong move here and someone is going over the side!"
We did make it down, and the rest of the ride meandered along the banks of the Green River--beautiful. However, the gang will have to blindfold Danielle and let Haven drive the quad down next time ... and by the way, we never did find a mine!?
